Hi! I’m Jane Ralston. I’m both no one special and someone special, just like You.
I believe Grace can change you and your life – exponentially and for the better.
If you’re in any of the following camps, you’re in the right place:
- You follow Jesus and have received His gift of grace but have sometimes wondered, like me, how on earth God’s grace can work like power through-out your life.
- You know a bit about Jesus Christ and are a little curious about Grace… It may seem crazy to you that God would give such an outrageously generous gift, which effectively lets people off the hook for all the things they’ve done wrong.
- You consider yourself a Christian, but you are slightly suspicious of the concept of grace: Is God’s gift of grace really for you?

Grace Unpacked is mainly explored out of my own life experiences, because, well, it’s what I’ve got to work with! My thinking is, despite our differences, it’s possible you and I might share similar struggles and revelations.
I believe when we receive Grace and Unpack Grace it transforms us and others.
“Transformation is a not a future event, it is a present activity.” (I got that off a Jillian Michaels exercise DVD, although she’s talking about health and fitness, the concept applies to our whole lives, right?).
Our ability to transform is a God-given gift:
“…do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
How good is that!
So that’s why I’m here, writing this. Exploring, through the lens of my own life:
How might this free gift of Grace, so generously given to us, transform our character and our lives?

My Top 4 Priorities:
Every day I love Jesus (number 1), me (really!), my husband, and our 3 daughters. Those are my absolute delights, so I try to show my love through my time and energy, words and actions.
My Full Life in Action:
How might I do more, more comfortably? Another day within my day perhaps? Like many Mums, I fit lots in. As well as looking after myself and the family, there’s running our home and working from home too, serving in our church community, writing…
I’m from New Zealand and I live in London, UK. I studied film-making and acting and literature. Most of my paid work so far has revolved around film and property. For fun, I’m writing some fiction now too.
Development of character inspires me deeply.
My lifelong passion is the grace of God.
Why Grace? Because, personally, I long to rest in it and live empowered by it. I’m embracing GRACE AND MORE GRACE.
